Steaming ice dams from your roof is a gentle way of removing ice compared
to other roof ice removal companies that use sledgehammers, axes and picks.
When removing ice dams, we use low pressure steam, so your roof is not damaged during the removal. You should NEVER let a company remove
ice dams from your roof with a high pressure power washer.
When warm air rises from your heated attic, it warms the shingles of your
roof, which leads to snow melting and water drains down to the colder edges of the roof where it refreezes as an ice dam. Once the ice gets thick enough, water backs up behind it, causing water to run under the shingles, and eventually into your structure.
Icicles often result from the same kinds of conditions that cause ice damming. While they may seem harmless, they can actually damage shingles and gutters
as well as break and fall on those walking below.
